The power of prayer will be released to you as soon as you believe that He wants you to have the desires of your heart.

The power of prayer is your faith agreeing with His. The Lord wants you to pray for things so that they don't just happen to you, and you think that you got that raise because your boss liked you... No! He wants you to ask Him for that raise, so that when you receive it, you know it was from the Lord and not from your boss.

When you combine your faith with the Lord's, the power of prayer begins. By believing Him and putting your faith in Him, your faith honors Him and He will honor you in return. The power of prayer is based on faith. If you are not sure whether you believe what you are praying, then state that you believe it and that all your faith is in Him, and pray for it with boldness.

Even unclean spirits believe in the power of prayer - which is why they want you to feel insecure as though you do not deserve what you are asking for. Cast down those images and thank the Lord for giving you the desires of your heart.
