Everyone seems to have their own opinion about how everyone needs to pray to God. If you are here, you're wondering "how to pray to God" and if there is a certain way that you need to pray in order to have an effective prayer life?

First of all, God is our Father and Jesus is God and they are one with the Holy Spirit... the trinity. However, Jesus came as an intercessor on our behalf, so that when the Father sees us, He sees us through Jesus and not our sin. Thank the Lord!

So, when I pray? I pray to the Lord. He has all the answers. I don't pray to "God". So, with that said, if you're wondering how to pray to God, I'm here to tell you that I pray to the Lord, who is my God. Does that make any sense?

Anyway, there really is nothing set in stone on "how to pray". Some religious fanatics think everything should be done the way they do it and meanwhile, while people are wondering how to pray to God, and not doing it, the Lord is standing by waiting for someone to tell you what I'm here to say right now.

Talk to the Lord from your heart. He is your Creator, your Comforter, your Companion, your Savior, the lover of your soul. He loves you more than you can ever imagine, and all He wants is a relationship with you.

How do you speak to an old friend who is dear to your heart? Maybe you'd call that person "sweet heart". Well, perhaps you should call the Lord "sweet Lord" because He is the most endearing Person, your oldest Friend, Who is always there for you.... and is waiting to hear from you right now.

It's not an accident that you are here right now reading this. The Lord loves you and He put it in your heart to seek out a way to communicate with Him. All He wants is for you to start talking to Him, whether it's silently, to yourself, where no one else can hear you, or out loud. Whatever feels natural, sometimes silently and other times out loud, if you want. Cry to Him. He is there for you. Express your excitement to Him, He made it happen. Every good thing comes from the Lord.

Just talk to Him like you talk to someone you love... and never stop because He never stops listening. If you goof up, just ask Him to forgive you because He will never leave -- yet people feel guilty if they do something wrong and stop talking to Him. Believe me, this breaks His heart when He doesn't hear from you.

You can start out like this: "Lord Jesus, come into my life and be with me always... show me how to talk to You so we can have the most intimate relationship and you can be apart of me for the rest of my life". In Jesus Name, amen and amen (so be it).

Every morning, I wake up and say "Lord, I submit to You, mind, body and spirit, please lead me in the spirit" in Jesus Name, amen.
